Patrick Olalere Name Head Coach & Technical Director of Lowcountry United

Lowcountry United is excited to announce the appointment of Patrick Olalere as the clubs head coach & technical director .

Coach Olalere has been working behind the scene with the clubs management for the last two years providing advice and coaching assistance to the club’s 1st team as we progressed through our inaugural 2018 United Premier Soccer League season. Patrick has deep roots here in the local soccer scene of Charleston, he has worked in all levels of soccer in and around the Lowcountry.  Patrick is most notably know for his time developing the youth players of USA Mount Pleasant as a senior coach, as well as he was prior director of coaching at JIYSC, was the former Director of Boys Soccer at Charleston United Youth Soccer Club along with being involved with many prior high school & college soccer programs such as Carson-Newman College & University of South Carolina.

Coach Patrick brings extensive pro-development & program development experience from his time competing in the NPSL as the Head Coach of Myrtle Beach Mutiny,  which is a huge benefit to Lowcountry United as we progress and grow in the years to come. Patrick also brings as much player experiences as he does coaching experience after an 11 year professional soccer career where he is known locally from his 8 years playing with the Charleston Battery which he was the 2nd all time leading scorer with 28 goals with 5 assist. Olalere was also a 12th round pick in 1997 by the New England Revolution as well as he represented his home country of Nigeria with playing for the Nigerian National team’s U17 & U21’s.

Coach Olalere brings the highest level of coaching experience along a proven track record of success to Lowcountry United. Coach Olalere currently holds  USSF “A” USSF “A” Senior NSCAA Premier, USSF National Youth, NSCAA Premier, MSCAA Advance National & Director of Coaching licenses which allows Lowcountry United players to learn & develop under the best available. As Olalere’s resume suggest he brings to Lowcountry United a wealth of knowledge from playing & coaching at the highest levels to growing, creating and developing thriving youth programs.

As LUFC continues to grow and build our 1st team as well as with the continued growth of Lowcountry United Youth Academy, Coach Olalere will oversee all day to day soccer operations of the clubs 1st team and be in a direct coaching capacity and assist with the growth and implementation of the LUFC youth academy as this program continues to take shape.
